22.6.17 We had great fun doing Sports Day in the park!

We celebrated the Feast of Corpus Christi with Mass, a picnic in the park, and an afternoon on the beach.

Easter Science Homework

 

We have been learning about how environments can change and how this can sometimes pose dangers to living things.

 

Please research an endangered animal or plant so that after the holidays, you can write a report about this organism. (All you need are some brief notes about your chosen animal/ plant including its habitat, why it's endangered and what can be done to help the species.) Here are some endangered animals:

gorilla

polar bear

turtle

panda

tiger

You may wish to choose another endangered species.

Term 3 Overview

w/c 16.1.17 This week it has been 'Healthy Week' at school. We have drawn healthy apples, taken the Skip2Bfit 2 minute challenge and tasted some new foods. It was great fun!

10.1.17 In science we have been learning about sounds and whether they are high or low.

8.12.16 In RE this week we have learnt about the qualities of a prophet and the Jesus is a descendant of David.

We have all written a thoughtful Advent prayer. They are on display in the Advent corridor, all in the shape of praying hands. Come and have a look.

We learnt about our class saint, St Peter, and re-told his story in a role play.

18.11.16 We wore silly hats to raise money for Children in Need.

15.11.16 This week we have been learning all about sound.

9.11.16 We enjoyed watching a production of Aladdin in the hall.

This week we have started to make clay poppies for Remembrance Day. Look out for them in the corridor on Friday 11th November.

Pilgrimage to Glastonbury

 

 

On Monday 17th October, we went on a pilgrimage to Glastonbury. We climbed Glastonbury Tor and released prayer bubbles, when we reached the top! After lunch, we visited Saint Mary's church and walked through the Door of Mercy. We spent time in prayer and quiet reflection. It was a fabulous, spiritual day!

20.10.16 We have all made a Roman oil lamp out of clay. It was lots of fun!

We have written our own lyrics, inspired by our School Mission - Learning and Working Together with Jesus, to a song called A Better Me' by Emily Barden

12.10.16 Today we went to see the Roman Baths in Bath. It was a fabulous day!

This week we have learnt what CAFOD do and how they respect differences in human beings.

This week we wrote some lyrics to reflect our school mission statement: Learning and Working Together with Jesus.

We have had a fantastic first week in Year 4. We have worked in home teams, said our lunchtime prayer with joy and thought deeply about the colour blue.
