St. John Bosco, or Don Bosco, was a 19th-century Italian priest who devoted his life to helping poor and neglected youth. Born in 1815, he developed a compassionate educational approach based on reason, religion, and kindness. In 1859, he founded the Salesians of Don Bosco to support boys, and later co-founded a similar order for girls. Guided by deep faith and vivid dreams, he became a prolific writer and spiritual leader. Canonized in 1934, he is the patron saint of youth and educators. His legacy lives on through Salesian schools and missions worldwide, promoting hope and opportunity for young people.

Kilve - Day 4 - Thursday 10th September

Thursday activities started with low ropes and crate stacking - Mrs. Sander and Mrs. Hills group had the extra fun of "Jenga" crate stacking. After lunch we went on a lovely walk around Kilve and did Den building and then in the evening we had our disco followed by hot chocolate and a few games of broken telephone and some well deserved sleep

We have just finished our last breakfast of croissants and pan au chocolate - a lovely treat and now on to team building games before lunch and heading home. 

Kilve - Day 3 - Wednesday 9th September

Yesterday, we went to the beach to collect fossils, did grass sledging, did buggy building and a campfire with marshmallows and games. Stars of the day are Charlotte and Lydia for their funny humour and happy spirits. Always being kind and joining in on every activity. 

Kilve - Day 2 - Tuesday 8th September

Today we have done archery, climbing wall, compass course and Jacob's ladder. The boys have also enjoyed playing football in their spare time. In group A, the star of the day is Christa for showing resilience and determination to go higher during Jacob's ladder. In group B, Artem is the star of the day for being an 'always' person. Always happy, always helpful, always kind, always trying his hardest and enjoying his time so much. 

Kilve - Monday 7th September

After lunch and unpacking, we separated into our 2 groups - each group did abseiling and mountain biking.

Then dinner followed by some fun in the maze before hot chocolate and bed. Super proud of all!

Mrs. Sander and Mrs. Hills star of the day is Nuala who was not sure about riding at first, but spent some time on the field with Mrs. Sander and persevered so well that she managed to do two of the "bomb pits". 

Everyone had fun in the maze playing zombies and survivors.
